As a die-hard fan of the Dune saga, spanning decades of my sci-fi obsession, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming HBO series, “Dune: Prophecy“. With a release date set for November 17, 2024, and a promise of weekly episodes on both HBO and Max, it’s like a sandworm-sized morsel of anticipation I’ve been waiting to swallow.


A brand new trailer for the upcoming “Dune: Prophecy” has been released by HBO, confirming the launch date of this eagerly awaited TV show, which serves as a side story to the Dune films.

When does Dune: Prophecy come out?

On November 17, 2024, I’ll be counting down the hours until HBO drops a new series at 9:00 p.m. ET. This six-episode adventure will unfold weekly on both HBO and Max, keeping me hooked every week. The latest trailer hints at a gripping quest for ultimate power, as we delve into the rise of the Bene Gesserit, a formidable faction in the Dune universe, that I can’t wait to witness!

Set in the vast cosmos of Dune, a world crafted by renowned author Frank Herbert, lies a prequel titled “Dune: Prophecy.” This narrative unfolds 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ rise to power and focuses on two Harkonnen sisters who battle adversaries that endanger humanity’s future. Their journey ultimately lays the groundwork for the revered Bene Gesserit order, as depicted in the novel “Sisterhood of Dune,” co-authored by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

In addition to Strong, Dune: Prophecy features Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha as its stars.

Alison Schapker is the chief manager for the TV series Dune: Prophecy. Alongside Diane Ademu-John, Anna Foerster, Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, Jon Spaihts, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert, Schapker is also one of the executive producers for this series. Kevin J. Anderson takes on the role of co-producer.
