In a 2023 Soccer Aid commercial alongside Tommy Fury from Love Island, Payne subtly showed his admiration for Taylor Swift. The pair engaged in a game of guess-the-song, and during this, Payne hummed “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” one of Swift’s well-known tunes from the Red album. Yet, it seems that Taylor Swift hasn’t publicly acknowledged the recent passing of Liam Payne, unlike other celebrities such as Charlie Puth, Zedd, The X Factor, and Paris Hilton who have expressed their condolences or paid tribute to him.
