CS2: NaVi tie up the Intel Grand Slam race

As a die-hard CS:GO fan with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the race for the Intel Grand Slam Season 5 is shaping up to be the most thrilling yet! The recent victory by Natus Vincere at IEM Rio has sent shockwaves through the esports community, not just because they’ve solidified their status as the top dogs, but also because they’ve given themselves a significant advantage in the Grand Slam race.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped about the intense competition unfolding in the Intel Grand Slam Season 5! Natus Vincere just matched steps with defending champions, FaZe Clan, following their victory at IEM Rio. The title is anyone’s game now!

The race for the Intel Grand Slam Season 5 is wide open!

Following their impressive win at IEM Rio on Sunday, Natus Vincere has firmly established themselves as the top Counter-Strike team globally for now.

In this IGS competition, NaVi has an advantage with six additional opportunities to take the title compared to their opponents.

In order to clinch a Grand Slam, a team must accomplish four ESL Pro Tour triumphs across ten tournaments. One of these wins should be from a Championship-level event, like IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, or any other tournament managed by ESL and recognized as a Major.

In the past week, NaVi successfully defended their IEM Rio championship crown, marking another victory following their triumph in the ESL Pro League Season 20 last month. This makes them the inaugural team of 2024 to win consecutive ESL Pro Tour tournaments. They now have eight opportunities remaining to claim two additional trophies, with at least one of those needing to be a Championship title.

IT HAS BEEN DONE.

But with no room for mistakes, karrigan’s team needs to win the upcoming two qualifying events, including one championship tournament, to stay in the running.
