Uematsu has contributed to the soundtrack for this game, but he has expressed that it might be his last time working on a video game project as a composer.

It’s not unprecedented that we’ve learned of Nobuo Uematsu stepping away from the game industry, following his work on the main theme for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Afterward, he mentioned that creating a complete soundtrack for a game is too much for him now. However, he returned to contribute his skills to Fantasian, possibly due to his extended professional ties with Sakaguchi. In recent years, Uematsu has been conscious of his health, even slowing down his projects as early as 2018.
