Slow Horses Renewed for Season 6 as Season 5 Wraps Production, Plot Details Revealed

As a die-hard fan of gripping espionage thrillers, I can hardly contain my excitement about the renewal of Slow Horses for a sixth season! Having binge-watched every episode of this brilliant series, I’ve grown attached to these flawed yet fascinating characters navigating the treacherous waters of the intelligence world.

After the Season 4 finale of “Slow Horse” aired earlier this month, Apple TV+ has confirmed that the suspenseful series will return for a sixth season. This announcement comes as they are completing production on Season 5.

The critically-acclaimed espionage thriller, “Slow Horses,” wrapped up its fourth season on October 9 of this year, leaving fans eager for more. Despite no official release date for Season 5, it’s been announced that the show will continue with a sixth season.

What to expect in Slow Horses Season 6?

The sixth season of “Slow Horses” is set to be developed from the sixth and seventh books in the Slough House series penned by acclaimed author Mick Herron, titled “Joe Country” and “Slough House” respectively.

According to the summary, “Slow Horses” is a witty and suspenseful spy series centered around a troubled group of MI5 agents. These agents work within a department derisively called Slough House, which serves as a kind of exile for those who have made mistakes and are now relegated to less important tasks.

It follows Jackson Lamb, a “brilliant but cantankerous leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world.”

In season six, the Slow Horses find themselves on the move due to Diana Taverner dragging them into a perilous, retribution-driven game with significant stakes.

The show features Gary Oldman in the role of Jackson Lamb, Jack Lowden portrays River Cartwright, Kristin Scott Thomas takes on Diana Taverner, Saskia Reeves plays Catherine Standish, Rosalind Eleazar is Louisa Guy, Christopher Chung appears as Roddy Ho, Samuel West acts as Peter Judd, Aimee-Ffion Edwards stars as Shirley Dander, Ruth Bradley is Emma Flyte, Tom Brooke embodies J.K. Coe, Joanna Scanlan plays Moira Tregorian, and Jonathan Pryce portrays David Cartwright.

Though the launch dates for Seasons 5 and 6 haven’t been revealed just yet, you can easily stream the first four seasons on Apple TV+ in the meantime.
