This character is known for his expertise in dealing with criminal encounters, which has earned him a chilling reputation among wrongdoers, leading to him being called “Vettaiyan,” a term that translates to “The Hunter.
An IPS officer interacts with a woman named Saranya, who is a school teacher and actively champions the causes of her students’ rights and education. Amitabh Bachchan portrays Justice Sathyadev, a Supreme Court judge who upholds human rights and believes that not every criminal act should lead to an encounter.
Yet, events unfold in an unexpected manner, prompting Athiyan to take decisive action, such as moving to Chennai. This paves the way for subsequent developments in the investigation and a confrontation of ideologies concerning criminal justice and human rights.
