The explosion of the plane resulted in the tragic loss of 259 passengers and crew members just 38 minutes after takeoff. Additionally, 11 local residents also lost their lives due to this incident.

When is the Lockerbie: A Search for Truth release date?
On January 2, 2025, the limited drama series “Lockerbie: In Quest of Truth” will be streamable in the U.S. on Peacock, and in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW. The series stars Colin Firth, Catherine McCormack, Rosanna Adams, Jemma Carlton, Harry Redding, Sam Troughton, Mark Bonner, Ardalan Esmaili, and Selwa Jghalef.
This 5-part limited series was developed by writers David Harrower and Maryam Hamidi, under the guidance of directors Otto Bathurst and Jim Loach. It is overseen by executive producers including Harrower, Gareth Neame, Nigel Marchant, Sam Hoyle, Liz Trubridge, Jim Sheridan, Kirsten Sheridan, and Oskar Slingerland. Hamidi and Kaczynski take on the roles of producers for this project.
