Lately, Miller encountered legal issues when Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended him during a checkpoint in Coachella. The officers were suspicious due to his vehicle having false license plates. Subsequently, they searched his unregistered black SUV and found a loaded handgun, shotgun, and large ammunition magazine. Inside the car, authorities also unearthed several passports with different names. Miller was detained at the John J. Benoit Detention Center on charges of having the firearms and magazine. Nevertheless, he was freed after posting a $5,000 bail.

Miller stated that he bought the guns discovered in his car due to receiving death threats. He admitted his ignorance about California’s stricter gun laws compared to those in Nevada, and he emphasized that he never employed these weapons. Furthermore, he declared that a Republican official from Nevada had given him a “special entry pass” for the rally, suggesting he was legally carrying the firearms.
