What is The Unraveling about?
Following a severe car accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury, Mary Dunne firmly believes that her husband, Grayson, has been substituted by an imposter. The plot unfolds as Mary receives mysterious phone calls from someone claiming to be the genuine Grayson, fueling her suspicion of inhabiting a parallel world filled with impostors who are manipulating her and holding her captive. Haunted by a terrifying presence that frequently appears, she grapples with doubts about her mental stability. The ‘real’ Grayson endeavors to persuade Mary to embrace the new reality, but she clings to the belief that she’s not secure. A climactic moment arrives when Mary discovers she is pregnant with the supposed impostor’s child, escalating the tension.
Zanotti and Amond are the writers of The Unraveling, and they also act as producers alongside Brad Bohannan and Nichole Marie Lim. Alongside Zanotti and Alsaleh, The Unraveling features performances by Bohannan, Destiny Danielle, Heather Lannan, Katherine Morgan, Moiba Mustapha, Sam Brooks, and Seth Dunlap.
As a die-hard admirer, I’d like to share that after directing the 2019 release “Five Women in the End,” Amond didn’t stop there. In 2020, she brought us “Rattled” and in 2021, “Faye,” both starring Zanotti. Additionally, Amond has been involved with numerous projects, including her work on “Scream Queens” for Fox, “The Big Short” from 2015, “Terminator Genisys” also from 2015, and “Baywatch” in 2017.
