Elon Musk launches Tesla’s Cybercab
The Tesla’s Cybercab Robotaxi is an autonomous electric vehicle, devoid of steering wheels and pedals as found in conventional cars. Recently, Elon Musk utilized this self-driving car for his journey to the We Robot event, which took place on October 10 in Los Angeles.
As a gamer, stepping into the futuristic world of the Cybercab feels like jumping into an immersive game level. The vehicle’s silhouette is sleek, with a long, gently arcing lightbar serving as headlights, giving it a unique, angular appearance. The doors are scissor-shaped and the interior is minimalistic to the core. Elon Musk promises that these Cybercars will be self-reliant, no longer needing human intervention due to advanced software. Charging this robotaxi Cybercab will be effortless with wireless induction technology, powered by mats or even integrated road tracks.
In 2025, Tesla plans to carry out tests of its full self-driving (FSD) feature without human supervision, using the Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, in both Texas and California. As mentioned by Musk, these unsupervised FSD trials will only be conducted in locations that have received approval from regulatory bodies.

How much does a Cybercab Robotaxi cost?
As per Elon Musk’s statements, the projected price for the Cybercab Robotaxi is expected to be under $30,000. He also anticipates the launch of this fully autonomous electric vehicle between 2026 and 2027.
At the same event, the pricing and launch date for the Robovan, a bigger autonomous electric vehicle designed for transporting up to 20 people and carrying heavy loads, were not disclosed. Nevertheless, Musk did provide essential information about this vehicle, including its potential uses for both commercial and recreational activities.
