Speculation abounds among fans about whether Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed drama series, Pachinko, will get a third season following the release of its second installment. In the final episodes of Season 2, we witnessed Solomon discover the destiny of an age-old enemy. However, the show’s official status remains uncertain at this point in time.

Here’s everything you need to know about Pachinko‘s future.

Is Pachinko canceled or renewed for Season 3 on Apple TV+?

Pachinko is neither canceled nor renewed for Season 3.

In the final episode of Pachinko Season 2, entitled “Chapter Sixteen,” Solomon uncovers the fate of an old adversary from 1989. Meanwhile, in 1951, we see Noa involved in a romantic affair with Anniko, the striking woman he met upon his arrival at Waseda.

Season 2 delves into the emotional ups and downs of a Korean family spanning four generations, beginning with their relocation to Japan prior to World War II. Fast forward to 1989, where Solomon seeks a new beginning in Tokyo, while Sunja struggles to protect her kin during the Osaka war in 1945. The series is filled with touching moments that keep audiences captivated.

In a chat with TVLine, the show’s creator Soo Hugh offered the most recent update about the series. He stated, “We haven’t officially begun yet, but I had presented the overall plan for three seasons to Apple and our current buyers around five to six years ago. We’re just waiting for confirmation on Season 3, as it’s beyond our control, and we’re also savoring Season 2 and taking pleasure in its success.

Currently, enthusiasts can only stay hopeful with a positive outlook, as they eagerly anticipate updates from the Pachinko Season 3 production team regarding any promising developments.
