Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa’s bail plea in Renuka Swamy murder case reserved until THIS day

As a seasoned lifestyle expert with years of legal drama following celebrities and their entanglements, I must say that the Darshan Thoogudeepa case is one that has kept me on my toes! The twists and turns in this saga are as captivating as any Bollywood blockbuster.

In a court sitting in Bengaluru, the judge has chosen not to make a decision on bail for actor Darshan Thoogudeepa until October 14th. As reported by Times Now, the decision regarding the bail plea of Renuka Swamy’s murder case’s main suspect, Darshan and his partner Pavithra Gowda, will also be announced on that same day. The legal representatives for both parties, C.V. Nagesh (defense) and Prasanna Kumar (prosecution), have finished presenting their arguments in the case.

According to the report, Darshan’s lawyer claimed that the police may have positioned the eyewitness in the fan’s murder case. He argued that the accused’s tower positions and IP addresses could potentially be manipulated, as they lack authenticity because the location of the towers extends over a 25-mile distance.

The lawyer expressed that he wasn’t presenting reasons for Darshan’s innocence. Instead, he was making arguments aimed at securing his release on bail during this case.

He expressed his view that the investigation into the case had issues and raised suspicions, suggesting that the court’s decision should not rely on tower locations.

Additionally, he asserted that Darshan had no prior knowledge of Renuka Swamy until the 5th of June, which coincided with the time when Pavithra Gowda ceased communication with him due to his travel with his spouse to a distant location.

According to Darshan’s legal representative, speaking to Times Now, the question arises: How did Darshan know about Renuka Swamy if Pavithra Gowda was not communicating with him?

Alternatively, during his presentation, SPP Prasanna Kumar offered counterpoints about the delay in obtaining witness statements. He noted that 76-79 individuals working at the shed were being monitored, and their mobile tower locations and call details, as well as those of the accused, were traced to the crime scene in Pattanagere.

Darshan and Pavithra Gowda pulled up in a black Scorpio outside the shed. As per the report, the Kannada actor earlier admitted to kicking his fan, Renuka Swamy, in her chest and sensitive areas, as mentioned in a previous statement.

SPP argued against the assertion that the defendants were linked to Darshan, and suggested that the call records should still be considered as valid evidence. He emphasized that the Supreme Court had previously acknowledged the importance of call logs, and thus they should not be disregarded lightly.
