Lower Decks showcases the vocal talents of Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, Eugene Cordero, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore and Gillian Vigman. This animated comedy revolves around the crew who work on one of Starfleet’s lesser-known vessels, the USS Cerritos.
First aired in 2020, Lower Decks is a spin-off series within Alex Kurtzman’s extended Star Trek Universe. This animated show focuses on the USS Cerritos, one of Starfleet’s less distinguished starships. The story primarily revolves around the daily lives and lesser adventures of its crew members, often referred to as “lower deckers,” who are mid-level officers in Starfleet and don’t typically have the more glamorous or thrilling roles like the commanding officers.
