As a long-time gamer and mythology enthusiast with a soft spot for quirky, imaginative storytelling, I was truly captivated by Kaos when it premiered on Netflix last August. The series, with its stellar cast led by Jeff Goldblum as the iconic Zeus, offered a fresh, comedic take on Greek mythology that resonated deeply with me and fellow fans.
As a die-hard gaming enthusiast, I’ve got some news to share about my favorite show, Kaos. The guy behind its creation, Charlie Covell, has stepped forward with a statement following the unfortunate cancellation on Netflix.
In August 2024, the series titled “Kaos,” featuring Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, made its debut on Netflix. It was recently revealed that Netflix chose not to continue with the show, and thus, “Kaos” will conclude following its initial season.
Covell has now issued a statement regarding the series cancellation.
What did Charlie Covell say about Kaos’ cancellation at Netflix?
As a dedicated fan, I’ve got to say, Covell’s Instagram post really hit home: “No renewal… even in cancellation can be satisfying.” Indeed, it’s heartbreaking not to create more chaos with Kaos, but I don’t want this news to overshadow the brilliance we managed to produce. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked alongside such an extraordinarily talented cast and crew, and I am extremely proud of our show. A big thank you goes out to everyone involved: it was a Herculean team effort, and a tremendous privilege to work with each and every one of you.
To our wonderful fans: Thank you so much for your love and excitement. I’ve come across Reddit subreddits that made my heart leap with joy: the intricate details and hidden gems you’ve pointed out have brightened my day countless times. I’ve been genuinely moved by your positive feedback towards the show – thank you! (By the way, one theory about who or what ‘Kaos’ represents was spot on.)
