News about Reeves’ return to Reeves General Hospital became public after his interview with TV Insider, during which he shared his feelings about reprising the role of Steven. “It felt like returning home,” he stated. “Driving up to Prospect [Studios] and passing through the gate was just strange. From the moment I drove in, it seemed as though I had only left and driven out a week ago,” he continued.
In a deeper discussion, Reeves shared the heartwarming encounter he had with his fellow actor Rick Hearst. He added that they have maintained a strong bond throughout the years.
As Reeves went on describing his feelings about going back to the set, he also shared insights into his character’s forthcoming plot development.
2009 saw the addition of Reeves to the cast on a recurring basis in the soap opera. Subsequently, his contract was renewed, and he began playing the main role. Unfortunately, he was dismissed from the show a few years later due to undisclosed reasons. During his tenure, his character Steven Webber ended up in prison for murdering one of his patients on the show.
