As a longtime fan of gripping thrillers and espionage stories, I can hardly contain my excitement for “The Day of the Jackal“! The trailer alone has me hooked with its cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, featuring none other than Eddie Redmayne as the elusive assassin and Lashana Lynch as the relentless British intelligence officer hot on his heels.
In the initial teaser for The Day of the Jackal, it’s revealed that Eddie Redmayne plays a character who is being pursued by Lashana Lynch. This character is an assassin, if you will.
A peacock unveiled a sneak peek of its upcoming series titled “The Day of the Jackal,” set to debut on their streaming platform in the coming month.

What happens in the Day of the Jackal trailer?
In the preview for The Day of the Jackal movie, Redmayne portrays an extremely evasive assassin character, ready to undergo drastic changes in appearance to successfully accomplish his task. Lashana Lynch’s character, a British intelligence operative, discovers this elusive killer and becomes determined to capture him personally.
The solitary and incredibly hard-to-catch assassin known as ‘The Jackal’ (Eddie Redmayne), who performs his deadly tasks for top dollar, is the subject of this synopsis. However, after completing his most recent assignment, he encounters a relentless British intelligence agent (Lashana Lynch) who embarks on a high-stakes pursuit to find and apprehend The Jackal in an exhilarating game of cat and mouse that spans Europe, creating chaos wherever it goes.
In addition to Redmayne, Lynch, and Úrsula Corberó, the series boasts an impressive cast that includes Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi, and Florisa Kamara.
In the series, Ronan Bennett is the writer and holds an executive producer role. Co-working in this capacity, Brian Kirk also takes on directing duties. Additionally, Eddie Redmayne, Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant from Carnival Films, Sam Hoyle from Sky Studios, and Sue Naegle are all executive producers. Lynch contributes as a co-executive producer, while Chris Hall serves as a producer, and Frederick Forsyth provides consulting production assistance.
Beginning on November 14, 2024, the initial five installments of “The Day of the Jackal” will debut on Peacock. Fresh episodes will be made available each week until a two-episode finale is released on December 12, 2024.
