Why Fans Think the John Carter 2 Trailer is Real

As a seasoned gamer and die-hard fan of sci-fi films, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when I see the buzz surrounding the alleged John Carter 2 trailer. Having grown up watching the original film, I must admit that the thought of a sequel has always been a tantalizing prospect. However, my skepticism is piqued by the trailer’s origin from KH Studio, known for their fan-made trailers.

There’s quite a stir online recently about what appears to be a fresh trailer for the potential sequel, John Carter 2. Of course, this has sparked lots of excitement among fans who are eagerly wondering if it’s genuine. People are also discussing whether Disney has given the green light for a second installment and if Taylor Kitsch will return to his role in the series.

As an ardent admirer, I’m excitedly sharing updates on the rumored new trailer and prospective production of a sequel for John Carter! Here’s what we know so far…

Is Disney’s John Carter 2 trailer real or fake?

The supposed trailer for the upcoming John Carter 2 film, starring Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins, has been debunked as a false or AI-created video.

The video, titled “fan-made trailer,” was uploaded by KH Studio, a studio recognized for sharing fan-created trailers. As of now, it has amassed 325,915 views and 3,600 likes, prompting numerous fans to debate its legitimacy. Yet, the video skillfully blends scenes from the previous John Carter movie with a multitude of AI-enhanced projects, aimed at artistic and entertainment purposes.

KH Studio continues to impress with its enticing trailer compilations, and this new video is no different. It subtly suggests that the old dangers John believed he had left behind are actually still very much present. The fight for survival on Mars has only just started for its inhabitants. John Carter remains one of Disney’s biggest cinematic flops, with no plans for a follow-up film in sight. Unfortunately, the original cast will not return to their roles.

Will Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins return for John Carter 2?

Given the low chances of John Carter 2 being produced in the near future, it’s unlikely that Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins will reappear in their original roles. Unfortunately, the first John Carter film underperformed at the box office, failing to meet expectations with a production cost of approximately $307 million, including pre-tax rebates and promotional expenses. The movie ultimately earned just $281 million worldwide (according to The Wrap).

According to reports, The Walt Disney Company is expected to sustain a significant loss of approximately $200 million due to the film. In an interview with SlashFilm, Taylor Kitsch expressed that he wouldn’t reprise his role in a sequel unless Andrew is behind the director’s chair.
