Will Smith & Michael Bay in Talks to Reunite for New Netflix Action Movie Fast and Loose

As a longtime fan of both Will Smith and Michael Bay, I can hardly contain my excitement about their potential collaboration on Fast and Loose! With Smith’s electrifying charisma and Bay’s mastery of explosive action sequences, this duo has always been a winning combination.

Excitedly, I can’t help but share some intriguing news! It seems that my favorite action-packed movie maestro, Michael Bay, might join forces with the legendary Will Smith for an upcoming project called “Fast and Loose.” Can’t wait to see what they cook up together!

Previously, Smith played Mike Lowrey in the 1995 film “Bad Boys” and its 2003 sequel “Bad Boys II”, both of which were directed by Bay. Later on, Bay made a cameo appearance in the subsequent two installments, “Bad Boys for Life” (2020) and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” (2024), where Smith and Martin Lawrence reprised their iconic roles once more.

According to Deadline, there’s a possibility that Bay and Smith could team up once more for the upcoming Netflix action film titled Fast and Loose.

As per Deadline’s report, the deal isn’t finalized yet, but Michael Bay is rumored to be in the final stages of negotiations to direct Fast and Loose. If everything falls into place, this movie will likely be the next project for both Bay and Smith.

What else do we know about Fast and Loose?

The film “Fast and Loose” centers around a man who finds himself in Tijuana with no recollection of his past. As he gradually uncovers his history, it’s revealed that he has been leading two distinct lives – one as a ruthless crime boss and the other as a covert operative for the CIA. This is according to Deadline’s summary of the movie.

The script for Fast and Loose has been penned by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner, and Eric Pearson. Smith is set to produce this film along with Kelly McCormick and David Leitch at 87North. Furthermore, Jon Mone, Ryan Shimazaki, and James Lassiter are currently in talks to also produce the movie.

Robert Simons, Noah Fogelson, and Barry Waldman will also executive produce.

The announcement about Smith leaving Sugar Bandits, a forthcoming thriller, has been made quite recently. Besides appearing in Bad Boys: Ride or Die and this year’s Emancipation, he also starred in those films. Currently, he is working as a producer for the upcoming Karate Kid sequel, set to premiere in May 2025.

Simultaneously, Bay has had past collaborations with Netflix on the project titled “6 Underground”. More recently, his work was featured in this year’s “Ambulance”, a film produced by Universal Pictures, where Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II took leading roles.
