Having witnessed Henry’s transformation from a humble smith’s son to a seasoned warrior, I eagerly look forward to seeing how Warhorse Studios will weave the sequel’s narrative.
The vastness of the world in this game is truly incredible, and so are the whispers about its much-awaited follow-up. Although we haven’t been given a specific launch date, it’s confirmed that the sequel will be out towards the end of the year!
In Kingdom Come, you step into the role of Henry, a young man from Bohemia in the 15th century who is the son of a blacksmith. Tragedy strikes when Skalitz, his hometown, is brutally attacked by Cuman soldiers. Remarkably, Henry survives and begins his perilous journey. The player has the freedom to shape Henry’s life as they see fit. Will he become an honorable knight, a stealthy assassin, a Robin Hood of Bohemia, a wandering murderer, or forge his own unique path? It’s up to you!
The game is renowned for its deep immersion and its intricately designed, expansive environment. Ever since 2018, players have been eagerly anticipating any news about a potential sequel.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Release Postponed to 2025 And New Gameplay Showcase
Warhorse Studios has revealed a shift in the launch date for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Initially planned for late 2024, the long-awaited medieval RPG on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will now debut on February 11, 2025, according to updates from the developer’s official account. While this might disappoint some eagerly waiting fans, I personally appreciate that Warhorse is dedicating more time to perfect the game before its release.
In addition to announcing the new release date, Warhorse Studios has unveiled a fresh 25-minute video demonstration of the game, offering a detailed glimpse into the game. The video spotlights the game’s close connection to its forerunner, showcasing familiar gameplay dynamics and an awe-inspiring medieval backdrop.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: New ‘Saints and Sinners’ Trailer Shows Familiar Faces
As a thrilled fan, I can’t contain my excitement after Warhorse Studios unveiled a fresh trailer for ‘Saints and Sinners’ at the Summer Game Fest 2024. This new glimpse reveals some beloved characters:
The new trailer really shows off the clever humor we all love about Kingdom Come. The sequel looks very promising, and we cannot wait to see more of the game (and finally get a release date – please, Warhorse!).
Henry Returns And Continues His Mission With New Friends And Foes
Based on the information that leaked, it seems Henry will be returning to visit us once more! It would be less engaging to introduce a new main character, as the final scene of the initial game left Henry’s story unresolved – he was still pursuing his revenge and without his sword when he rode off into the sunset at the end of the first game.
Moving forward, it looks like we’ll find out where his path leads next. Given past mishaps, we may have a clue or two as to whom he’ll encounter during his upcoming escapade.
The initial post from May 2022 was taken down quickly, given that it represented the first concrete evidence suggesting KDC 2 is indeed in development. Given the scarcity of information about the sequel, it’s likely that Warhorse Studios has implemented tight non-disclosure agreements with their collaborators to keep details under wraps.
What Could Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Be About?
Spoiler Warning for Kingdom Come Deliverence!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is often noted for leaving its main storyline unresolved upon game completion. Essentially, the player character Henry’s hometown of Skalitz gets destroyed, his parents are killed, and a sword intended for Lord Radzig goes missing. The narrative commences from this pivotal moment, with the ultimate objective being consistent throughout – to restore order in Bohemia.
Throughout the entire game, vengeance and a sword were the primary goals. However, after countless hours spent on various missions, it turns out that at the end, Henry leaves with neither the satisfaction of taking his revenge nor the sword he sought.
In my opinion, it seems like they’re setting up for a sequel by further enhancing Henry’s abilities in this game, but it feels more like an expectation than a tease at this point. One of the most appealing aspects of the first game was that we both began as Henry, a blacksmith’s son with no sword-wielding experience, and had to learn and grow together.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the learning process is incredibly steep. Regardless of how much you play, at first, Henry appears quite inept. To improve him, you need to invest time and effort into character development and combat training. If you dare challenge groups of bandits or heavily armed Cumans without proper preparation, it’s likely a death sentence for your character.
In the next installment, we should gradually reintroduce players to the world by having Henry not immediately at full strength as he was at the end of the first game. To achieve this, an effective method might involve him starting off injured, which would necessitate a period of retreat, recuperation, and skill re-acquisition.
Nevertheless, it is Warhorse Studios who will manage that situation – we have complete confidence in their abilities to create yet another extraordinary, engaging game featuring Henry.
Shaping Henry’s Journey: A player-driven experience
In the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the creators are again striving for unprecedented levels of historical authenticity. Their aim is to construct a world that authentically represents medieval Bohemia, an environment that seems self-sustaining and alive even in the absence of the player.
We’ll keep you updated on any further news, as always!
