In a recent post regarding the shooting schedule of the movie L2: Empyrean, starring Mohanlal, the actor announced a change in location from Gujarat to Hyderabad.
The post featured a picture of the Salaar actor directing the movie and penned the caption, “L2: Empuraan. Guj ——> Hyd. A 1400kms shift, 12 hr turn around time, one hell of a team!” complimenting his crew for their efforts. However, what caught everyone’s eye is Supriya’s plea to her husband who asks him to come home and says, “Time to take a detour and come home director Saar!”

For a while now, Prithviraj Sukumaran has been fully immersed in the production of his upcoming directorial film titled L2: Empuraan. This movie serves as a follow-up to the 2019 hit Lucifer and is slated to be the second chapter in a trilogy that narrates an ongoing story.
Initially predicted, the upcoming movie is planned to serve as a prequel and sequel to its predecessor, offering deeper insights into the character Khureshi Ab’raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally. Notably, Mohanlal will be reprising his role for this production. A star-studded lineup of talented actors such as Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Arjun Das, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and several others are expected to take on significant roles.
Next year, a movie that has been intermittently shooting scenes around the world, in places such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and elsewhere, is set to be released on the big screen.
In terms of acting, Prithviraj Sukumaran recently took on a lead role in the film “Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil.” This production was financed by him and his wife, and it was directed by Vipin Das. Alongside Prithviraj, Basil Joseph and Anaswara Rajan also played significant roles in this movie.
Aside from reprising his role in L2, the actor will play the lead role in the film Vilayath Buddha.
