Why was Dahn the only one not attacked in the Found season 2 premiere?

As a seasoned gamer and binge-watcher of countless shows, I’ve learned to appreciate the intricacies of plot twists and character development that make a series truly stand out. The premiere of Found’s second season certainly did not disappoint!

The second season opener of “Found” continued right from where the first season finale left off. It was apparent to Gabi that her rat poison had vanished, which signified potential peril for the M&A squad. Interestingly, though, it seemed as if one team member managed to dodge this danger.

Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Found season 2, episode 1.

At the final scene, Lacey’s pet dog fell ill. It wasn’t until the end of the show that we discovered someone had deliberately contaminated the dog with poison. Meanwhile, as this was revealed, Gabi noticed her rat poison was missing. It turned out Sir had taken it before leaving, but he didn’t intend to use it solely for poisoning the dog.

As a gamer, I was on high alert when I realized someone wanted to take down our M&A team. Luckily, it was just Dhan who answered the call and saved Margaret from consuming a potentially lethal sandwich at the bus station. Unfortunately, I arrived too late to prevent Zeke from drinking his poisoned drink, but I managed to rush him to the hospital in time.

A moment later, it became clear to all that neither Margaret nor Zeke had been spared poisoning, nor had Lacey been left unharmed by being taken away. Yet, Dhan remained unaffected. The question arose: why was this so?

Dhan’s husband’s credit cards were used in Found season 2

Sir appears to be playing a lengthy strategy. Upon discovering that Dhan wasn’t poisoned, the M&A group discovered that three short-term vacation rentals had been booked using Dhan’s husband’s credit cards. This discovery allows Gabi and her (not overly intimate) team to focus their investigation more narrowly.

It seems like Dhan might not have been the intended victim of the poison, as Ethan appears to be the one who was being targeted by the cards. However, this explanation doesn’t quite clear up the confusion.

Instead of Dhan being involved with Sir, I believe it is more likely that Sir is aware that Dhan assisted Gabi in locating and kidnapping him. Sir seems to desire both Gabi and Dhan to endure suffering. He wants Dhan to focus more on Ethan’s well-being than his own. Additionally, Zeke and Margaret have become a tool for messing with Gabi’s mind. The fact that Dhan was involved in Sir’s abduction suggests that Sir is seeking retribution of some kind.

Additionally, it’s important to mention that Trent didn’t suffer from poisoning or an attack. It seems that such incidents might occur soon, but under the circumstances, Sir appears to have targeted Margaret and Zeke instead.

Found airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
