Dan Da Dan Opening Sequence Unveiled Ahead of Anime Series’ Debut

Crunchyroll has unveiled the opening theme for the forthcoming science-fiction horror-comedy anime series, “Dan Da Dan,” produced by animation studio Science SARU. You can stream this series starting from October 3rd on both Netflix and Crunchyroll.

The narrative focuses on Momo, a high school student from a family with medium abilities, and her classmate Okarun, who is fascinated by the occult. After Momo helps Okarun escape bullying, they strike up a conversation. However, a disagreement arises between them as Momo is convinced of ghosts but skeptical about aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but dismisses ghosts.

What happens in the Dan Da Dan opening sequence?

The colorful opening credits provides viewers with a closer look at some of the characters in the upcoming anime, besides the main leads Momo and Okarun. It also features opening song titled, “Otonoke” by Japanese hiphop duo Creepy Nuts. The video also teases the locations set to be featured in the anime.

According to Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga series, Dan Da Dan is a thrilling blend of sci-fi, horror, and teen romance comedy, with a witty humor that’s as relentless as it is endearing. Notable voice actors such as Shion Wakayama (from Lycoris Recoil), Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer), Mayumi Tanaka (One Piece), and Kazuya Nakai (One Piece) are part of the cast. The anime will also boast original music from Kensuke Ushio, composer of Chainsaw Man, with Fuga Yamashiro at the helm as director.
