Halle Berry Joins Chris Hemsworth in Crime 101 Heist Thriller Movie Cast

As a movie buff with a knack for spotting stellar cast ensembles and gripping plots, I’m thrilled to my core that Halle Berry is joining Chris Hemsworth in the high-octane heist thriller, Crime 101! The addition of powerhouse talents like Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan only serves to amplify the anticipation.

Halle Berry is joining Chris Hemsworth in the cast of a new heist thriller movie called Crime 101.

A fresh film titled “Crime 101” is upcoming from Amazon MGM Studios, based on a 2021 Don Winslow short story. This movie is under the direction of Bart Layton, who collaborated with Peter Straughan to write the script.

By the specified deadline, Berry has been selected for the female lead role in the upcoming film, which will feature Hemsworth as her co-star. Additionally, Mark Ruffalo (known for his roles in Spotlight and Thor: Ragnarok) and Barry Keoghan (notable for Saltburn and The Banshees of Inisherin) are also part of the cast.

Berry was recently seen in Netflix’s The Union, an action movie that co-stars Mark Wahlberg, Jackie Earle Haley, and J. K. Simmons. Her latest movie, Never Let Go, is also currently playing in United States theaters. Directed by Crawl’s Alexandre Aja, Never Let Go also features performances from Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins.

What else do we know about Crime 101 with Halle Berry and Chris Hemsworth?

At present, specific details about the film’s plot are being closely guarded. However, Deadline reveals that Winslow’s story shares similarities with the movie “Heat,” as it revolves around sophisticated jewel heists happening along the Pacific Coast. These crimes have been linked to Colombian cartels. Detective Lou Lubesnick, on the other hand, harbors different suspicions and focuses his investigation on a particular suspect, a thief who is seeking one last major score.

Layton is well-known for helming the 2012 film “The Imposter” and the 2018 release “American Animals.” He is collaborating on the production with Shane Salerno from Story Factory, Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan from Working Title, Dimitri Doganis, Derrin Schlesinger, Chris Hemsworth, and Ben Grayson from RAW. Joely Fether of RAW will serve as an executive producer in this venture.

The filming for Crime 101 is set to start this month, but Amazon MGM Studios hasn’t specified a particular release date yet. It’s anticipated that it will hit the big screens in 2025.
