As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but appreciate the nostalgia that Toby Beech’s return as “The Replacer” brings to the table. Having grown up with the Call of Duty franchise since its inception, it’s always a delight to see familiar faces like Peter Stormare reprising their roles.

In a fresh trailer for the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops VI,” actor Peter Stormare reappears, this time taking on the role of “The Replacer.

Who is The Replacer in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 video?

In the fresh preview for the upcoming game, we witness the comeback of actor Stormare portraying a role he last played more than a decade ago. Known as “The Replacer,” this character performs exactly what his title suggests – taking on other people’s everyday roles so they can indulge in Call of Duty gaming. 2012 marked the debut of Stormare’s character in the promotional efforts for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Since then, he has been a recurring figure in various other Black Ops advertising campaigns, such as Black Ops 3 and 4. It remains to be seen how many more commercials Stormare will feature in for the game, but it’s safe to say that The Replacer may make further appearances.

Despite the funny role, Stormare is a seriously accomplished actor, having played roles in a variety of high-profile films. Stormare starred in 1996’s Fargo, and was also a mainstay in the hit television series Prison Break. The actor has also appeared in films like The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Playing God, The Big Lebowski, Armageddon, 8mm, Minority Report, Bad Boys II, Constantine, and more. The actor has even appeared in voice acting roles for games like Destiny, Until Dawn, and Destiny 2.

Call of Duty: Black Ops VI is slated to drop on October 25, 2024, and can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 6, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers. Additionally, it will be accessible for members with PC Game Pass & Ultimate subscriptions on the release date as well.
