As a long-time fan of the Jurassic Park franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming film, Jurassic World Rebirth. Having grown up with the original movies and witnessing the evolution of this captivating series over the years, I find it truly remarkable that the story continues to unfold in fresh and innovative ways.
Two years following the release of its last movie, the Jurassic World series is getting ready to roar back onto cinema screens with a brand new chapter – the fourth film in the series. The epic conclusion to the much-loved franchise was Jurassic World Dominion, which hit screens in 2022 and wrapped up Chris Pratt’s central storyline. In light of this, it was announced early in 2024 that a fresh cast would join the Jurassic World team for the upcoming fourth installment.
According to the latest news, the producer of Jurassic World Rebirth, Frank Marshall, has disclosed that the filming part for their production has been completed. With a release date planned for 2025, it’s now moving forward into its post-production process.
Frank Marshall confirms the end of production on Jurassic World Rebirth
Marshall shared the news on Instagram by posting a picture of a Jurassic World hat and captioned it “That’s a wrap!”. This confirms that filming for Jurassic World Rebirth has ended. Now, the movie will undergo post-production, where all the required special effects will be added.

The film is being directed by renowned director Gareth Edwards, who joined the project back in February 2024. Edwards has a reputation for finishing his movies swiftly and cost-effectively, having previously worked on Godzilla from 2014 and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016.
This upcoming movie is known for its impressive cast, showcasing big-name actors on screen. Five years after Jurassic World Dominion, Scarlett Johansson takes over as the main character. Alongside her, you’ll see Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, among others, supporting her character Zora Bennett. Additionally, David Koepp, the writer of Jurassic Park, reenters the franchise with this movie. Notably, Marshall, who previously worked as a producer on the original 1993 film, is also returning in the same role for this new installment.
Jurassic World Rebirth is set to come out in theatres on July 2, 2025.
