The event commenced with the NXT Women’s North American Championship bout between Kelani Jordan and Wren Sinclair, where Kelani successfully defended her title using her signature move, the Split-Legged Moonsault. Additionally, a captivating backstage interaction unfolded between CM Punk, Trick Williams, and Ethan Page, during which Punk revealed his role as the special referee for this week’s NXT Championship match.

Stephanie Vaquer entered the WWE NXT stage for the very first time on television, but since it was done through satellite, some viewers might have unintentionally overlooked her debut. Despite making a strong impression during her initial performance, according to Fightful Select reports, fans could have missed her premiere.
Based on these accounts, it seems that the extended length of the show almost led to USA Network deciding not to air the episode. The finale ended with just a few seconds left on the clock. Additionally, the last scene featuring NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Giulia was cut short due to an interruption by Stephanie Vaquer. This unexpected disruption could potentially have posed a problem for the plotline.
