As a dedicated gamer, I can’t wait to dive back into the post-apocalyptic world of “The Walking Dead” when its second season featuring everyone’s favorite character, Daryl Dixon, premieres on September 29. Last time we saw Daryl, he was embarking on a journey across the sea to France. This new season, referred to as “The Book of Carol,” brings back the resilient Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride. In her quest to find Daryl, she crosses paths with a fresh face, Ash, skillfully portrayed by Manish Dayal.

It was revealed in November 2023 that Dayal had been selected for the cast of season 2 of “Daryl Dixon”. Initially, Deadline broke the news and provided details about his character, Ash. Prior to the outbreak, Ash resided in Boston, but later moved to a vacation home belonging to a family in Maine. Notably, Ash owns a small aircraft that he pilots every day.
In the premiere of season 2 of “The Book of Carol,” Ash is initially brought into the story. Later on, it becomes apparent that he plays a crucial role in helping Carol find Daryl, having learned about his journey to France.
What else does Manish Dayal star in?
Dayal first entered the workforce by featuring in advertisements for various well-known corporations such as McDonald’s, Windows, Nintendo, and Domino’s Pizza. Later on, he landed the main part in The New Group’s off-Broadway play, “Rafta, Rafta,” which was staged in 2008.
He had a guest-starring role during season 10 of the CBS series CSI – Miami, and then as Hal, a code-breaking computer analyst in AMC’s Rubicon. He has also appeared in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Good Wife.
In the year 2011, Dayal assumed the character of Raj Kher in the TV series on The CW known as “90210.” Raj was a college freshman who had leukemia. Over the course of fourteen episodes, spread across seasons 3 and 4, he played this role.
Additionally recognized for his part in the dramedy “The Hundred Foot Journey” (2014) alongside Helen Mirren, Om Puri, and Charlotte Le Bon, as well as the 2017 drama “Viceroy’s House” featuring Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Huma Qureshi, and Michael Gambon.
