A new Outlander Season 7B photo teases Buck's health problems

As a dedicated Outlander fan who has spent countless hours navigating the complexities of time travel and historical intrigue, I am beyond excited for Season 7B! The mysterious journey of Roger and Buck has always been a captivating subplot, and the recent teasers have only heightened my anticipation.

Towards the close of Outlander Season 7A, Buck and Roger ventured through the stones in pursuit of Jemmy. However, their journey will experience an unexpected turn in Outlander Season 7B.

In the trailers for Outlander Season 7B, Roger and Buck have received less attention than usual. This is partly because certain aspects of their storyline must remain hidden. However, it’s evident that they will appear in a time period unexpected for them. After all, there are pictures circulating of Geillis and Dougal, but both characters were deceased in 1778.

Entertainment Weekly has posted a few more photos, including one that shows Roger and Buck apparently having just arrived from the future through the stones. This suggests an essential plot development involving Buck is forthcoming.

Does Buck have health problems in Outlander Season 7B?

I had my doubts whether the plot about time travel would feature in the series, since it hasn’t delved much into its risks or characters’ emotional experiences. However, seeing the depiction of Buck and Roger suggests that we might indeed encounter this narrative thread.

In the novel “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood,” the focus is on the health issues related to Buck’s heart. As Buck navigates the stones, he encounters severe heart-related difficulties that would have proved fatal without the intervention of another time traveler and healer. Eventually, Buck crosses paths with Dr. McEwan who employs a blue light for healing purposes.

In the image published by Entertainment Weekly, Buck is depicted lying on the ground, clutching his chest. This suggests that we might witness a heart attack scene, implying Dr. McEwan could be introduced into the narrative. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean all healing aspects of the story will be incorporated. Instead, it seems like this particular event could serve to intensify the drama surrounding time travel and serve as a reminder of the potential dangers involved.

Outlander Season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on Starz.
