Jon Moxley Set to Face Bryan Danielson at AEW WrestleDream 2024

As a die-hard wrestling fan who’s been following the AEW scene for quite some time now, I must say, the recent turn of events has left me absolutely thrilled! The rivalry between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson is shaping up to be one for the ages.

Jon Moxley took advantage of the opportunity provided to Darby Allin, challenging Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship at AEW WrestleDream 2024. At All Out, Moxley left spectators stunned when he assaulted Danielson immediately following his title victory against Jack Perry.

The tension heightened as Killswitch (Killswitch) and Christian Cage made their entrance, seemingly poised to activate his AEW World Championship match option. As Cage was about to attack, Moxley showed up with Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Pac. Despite Danielson feeling comforted by the presence of his Blackpool Combat Club comrades, events took a sudden and drastic turn when Moxley and Castagnoli attacked him, with Pac holding back Yuta.

Prior to his betrayal of Danielson, Moxley had been vocal about Darby Allin for several weeks. Eventually, Moxley confronted Allin, challenging him for the opportunity to be the number one contender. This spot was won by Allin through his victory in the Royal Rampage match, allowing him a title shot against Danielson’s AEW World championship at WrestleDream 2024.

At the recent AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Allin took on a challenge, potentially losing his chance. However, in the climactic match, Moxley emerged victorious, thus earning the right to battle Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream 2024.

Darby Allin’s opportunity snatched by Jon Moxley for Bryan Danielson showdown

At the heart of AEW Dynamite’s Grand Slam, I found myself in an electrifying main event, where I managed to outlast Darby Allin. Darby had dared to stake his title shot on this match, but alas, it was I who emerged victorious. This victory now places me as the top challenger, eagerly waiting for my opportunity to face Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. What a thrilling journey it’s been!

Following Moxley’s win, Bryan Danielson suddenly ambushed him, wrapping a tie around his neck to choke him. However, Marina Shafir attempted to intervene, only for PAC and Claudio Castagnoli from the Blackpool Combat Club to quickly rush in and aid Moxley instead.

Commander Alex Abrahantes, along with Komander and the Private Party, hastened to aid Danielson. This action prompted Moxley, Castagnoli, PAC, and Shafir to withdraw. Danielson then seized a microphone, proclaiming that he was initiating a war against Moxley.

Significantly, Wheeler Yuta – known for his opposition against Danielson’s betrayal – was missing during the turmoil. As Danielson plans retaliation against Moxley at AEW WrestleDream 2024, it remains unclear if Yuta will have any part in the escalating drama.
