Ever since Manju Warrier wowed crowds with her outstanding dance performances in the initial track of Vettaiyan titled “Manasilaayo,” there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding her. In a recent chat with Sun Music, the actress opened up about her encounter with Rajinikanth and the similarities she sees among her renowned co-stars.
Regarding that topic, the actress mentioned that Rajinikanth was incredibly friendly and managed to make her feel at ease on set. Interestingly, what these actors – Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ajith Kumar, and Mammootty – share in common is their modesty.
Moreover, Manju Warrier expressed, “They are all quite modest and it’s inspiring; something we could all take note of. One might believe they are humble, but interacting with them reveals there is still much to learn in this aspect.
The actress continued by sharing her experiences of encountering Rajinikanth for the first time during the look test for the movie Vettaiyan. Additionally, she disclosed that she didn’t realize at first that Rajinikanth would be the main character in the film, and when she found out, she was left speechless.
Coming soon, the film titled “Vettaiyan” with Rajinikanth in the main role is a thrilling action-drama. It’s directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for his work on “Jai Bhim”. The movie, set to hit theaters on October 10, 2024, showcases Rajinikanth portraying an IPS officer who is an expert in encounters.
In their latest announcement, the creators of the film have revealed a sneak peek featuring an intense rivalry between Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan. Notably, Amitabh’s character stands for human rights in this production. Interestingly, it has been 33 years since these two acting legends last shared the screen together.

In addition to Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Manju, the movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Rithika Singh, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, and several others in important parts. Furthermore, Anirudh Ravichander is responsible for the film’s music, marking his fourth project with the leading actor.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Rajinikanth is at present involved in the shooting of the film titled “Coolie”. This movie is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Notably, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao are also part of the project, taking on significant roles.
