As an ardent fan of Mohan Babu, I find myself in constant awe of his resilience and the unwavering spirit that he embodies. This latest incident of theft at his residence is indeed disheartening, but it does not deter us from admiring the man behind the star.


Known for his extensive film career spanning more than 500 movies, Mohan Babu is a well-respected veteran actor. Lately, there have been reports of a missing sum of Rs 10 lakhs from his residence. Following an in-depth examination, it appears that this money may have been taken by one of his household staff members.

As per a recent article from Deccan Chronicle, Mohan Babu’s personal assistant reported a theft incident to the Pahadishareef police a short while ago. Subsequently, the suspect was apprehended by the authorities in Tirupati.

It is being indicated that a burglary occurred at Mohan Babu’s home in Jalpally village on September 22. The culprit, who has been identified as Vadithe Ganesh Naik, was previously employed as an office assistant by the actor and performed various tasks around the house.

One day, upon returning from a journey to Tirupati, Mohan Babu’s secretary found himself with 10 lakh rupees in cash. He stored this money in his room located in the servant quarters. Unfortunately, he later discovered that the cash had vanished. As a result, he decided to file a report with the police about the missing funds.

Investigators scrutinized the security camera recordings and spotted that the suspect appeared to be exiting the residence past midnight, acting in a manner that raised suspicion. Law enforcement officers grew wary of these activities and assembled task forces to collect supporting digital evidence.

In due course, they traveled to Tirupati where Vadithe Ganesh Naik was apprehended. The individual in question was subsequently handed over and accused under Section 306 of the BNS (Indian Legal Code). As per the account, authorities also confiscated approximately Rs 7.3 lakh in cash and a mobile phone from him during this operation.

Speaking about Mohan Babu, also known as Manchu Bhakthavatsalam Naidu, he launched his acting career in the mid-70s. Prior to this, he had worked behind the scenes in the Indian film industry as an assistant director. For those who may not be familiar, after achieving success with his movie Swargam Narakam, he decided to adopt the screen name Mohan Babu.

Mohan Babu was awarded the Padma Shri by the Indian government in 2007 for his significant work in Indian cinema. Additionally, it is possible that he will take on a major part in the upcoming movie “Kannappa,” which features his son, Vishnu Manchu.
