As a dedicated Assassin’s Creed fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve weathered many a storm in the realm of video game delays. From Red Dead Redemption 2 to The Witcher 3, I’ve come to appreciate the extra polish that comes from a bit more development time. So, while I was initially disappointed by the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, I’m now looking forward to diving into Yasuke’s world with renewed anticipation.
Ubisoft has revealed that they’re pushing back the launch date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows to February 14, 2025. The reason behind this delay is to give them more time to fine-tune the game and add depth to crucial elements that were initially planned for a November release.
In a recent announcement on social media, Ubisoft mentioned they’ll be issuing refunds for any current pre-orders of Assassin’s Creed Shadows due to a delay. Furthermore, new pre-orders placed later on will come with the game’s first expansion included at no extra cost.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will now release February 14, 2025.
