As a long-time fan who’s been through the rollercoaster of Telugu cinema, I must say the anticipation for Jr NTR’s upcoming film, Devara, is palpable! The news about its potential release on Netflix, if true, would be a game-changer, making it accessible to a global audience like never before.
Initially, the movie Kalki (2028 AD) featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone had a 8-week run in theaters, allowing it to expand its viewership. In the same vein, the makers of Devara are looking to increase the film’s global reach as well.
Anticipation is high among fans as they eagerly await the theater debut of Devara. However, some news outlets claim that the movie might instead premiere on Netflix. Rumors swirl that Netflix has purchased the digital rights for the film starring Jr NTR at a whopping Rs 100 crore. Yet, the producers have not yet verified these speculations.
During this flurry of news, various video snippets of Jr NTR emerged on social platforms, showcasing him unexpectedly gracing the Beyond Fest in Los Angeles. In these videos, he was spotted attending the screening of his prior successful movie RRR, which also features Ram Charan.
Under the guidance of director SS Rajamouli, a special movie screening was held at the Aero Theatre in Los Angeles, free of charge. In anticipation of Beyond Fest 2024, the organizers invited everyone to attend a preview of SS Rajamouli’s grand spectacle featuring NTR and Ram Charan, titled @RRRMovie. They encouraged people to join the standby line, wear their dancing shoes, bring sunglasses, and get ready to celebrate!
Conversely, Jr NTR made an appearance at the venue and thanked his fans for their heartfelt welcome. He also shared details about his upcoming film, stating that “Devara” is an intensely Indian tale filled with the high-octane action and dance sequences reminiscent of “RRR”.
