Absconding Malayalam actor Sidhique’s phone turned on for a day after Kerala High Court rejected his bail plea in sexual abuse case

As a seasoned observer of the entertainment industry and a firm advocate for justice, I find the situation surrounding Malayalam actor Sidhique deeply concerning. My personal experiences have taught me that when allegations of such serious nature arise, it’s crucial to maintain transparency and cooperate with authorities.

Actor Sidhique drew attention following allegations by a sexual abuse victim who named him. Subsequently, the actor disappeared due to concerns about imminent arrest, and he has remained out of sight since then. A recent report indicates that his phone briefly reconnected for a brief span before going offline again.

According to Manorama News, they attempted to reach Sidhique on his phone, which has been turned off since his disappearance. Remarkably, the phone call managed to go through for a short while before getting cut off once more.

For those who are not familiar, the Kerala police have been unable to locate the Malayalam actor since the state high court denied his request for anticipatory bail in a sexual abuse case. The female victim and the state government have submitted a counter appeal against the actor’s plea in the Supreme Court.

With the actor absent, presumably to avoid being apprehended, the authorities have proactively issued a watchlist at all airports to prevent Sidhique from leaving the country. Currently, he can’t be found at his usual address, and his mobile devices appear to be turned off.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m inclined to surmise that the actor may choose to maintain a low profile till the Supreme Court addresses the case at hand.

As a dedicated follower, I wish to share that on January 28, 2016, I, as a victim and an actor, reported a case of sexual abuse against Sidhique at the Museum Police Station in Thiruvananthapuram. This unfortunate incident occurred at a hotel in our capital city. My complaint was filed following the findings of the Hema Committee report, which has caused a profound impact on the Malayalam film industry.

After receiving a complaint, Sidhique chose to resign from his position as the General Secretary of the AMMA organization.
