The 4:30 Movie 4K, Blu-ray, & Digital Release Date Set for Kevin Smith Comedy

As a child of the ’80s who spent countless Saturdays sneaking into movie theaters with my friends, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia at the news of “The 4:30 Movie” coming to home screens. The synopsis alone brings back memories of the thrill of breaking rules and the excitement of seeing forbidden R-rated films.

The release dates for 4K, Blu-ray, and digital versions of “The Movie at 4:30 PM” by Kevin Smith, his recent heartfelt comedy, have been disclosed. The announcement follows over a week since the film premiered in cinemas.

In the scorching heat of 1986, I find myself immersed in a tale about three buddies, just turning sixteen. On Saturdays, we’d pull off daring stunts to sneak into movies at our local theater, living life on the edge. But trouble brews when one of us invites his crush to watch an R-rated flick. The ensuing chaos is unreal as a high and mighty cinema manager and teenage rivalries disrupt my carefully thought-out plans, turning every laugh into a cringe.
