As a long-time comic book enthusiast who has followed Psylocke since her debut in the ’80s, I can hardly contain my excitement for her addition to Marvel Rivals! Growing up, she was always one of my favorite mutants due to her unique powers and intriguing backstory. To finally see her join the roster of this dynamic mobile game is a dream come true!
Now that the beta phase of Marvel Rivals, developed by NetEase Games, has been left behind, they are looking forward to the game’s official release in December. Already brimming with iconic comic book characters, the roster will soon grow even larger as Psylocke, a mutant character, joins Marvel Rivals.
The announcement trailer for Psylocke includes gameplay footage of the psychic-powered assassin. She has a warp ability that lets her blink across short distances, as well as a skill she can use to temporarily cloak herself. The trailer also showcases her Ultimate ability, in which Psylocke sprouts pink butterfly wings and rapidly slashes multiple enemies with her sword.
With Psylocke joining the team, there are now 27 characters in the Marvel Rivals lineup, following the announcements of Captain America and Bucky Barnes during the summer. It’s been made clear by NetEase that each character in Marvel Rivals will be accessible to all players at launch without any additional unlocking requirements.
