Promises and Pomegranates is a dark romance delight by Sav R. Miller

As a seasoned gamer and avid reader who’s been through countless tales of love, loss, and everything in between, I must say that “Promises and Pomegranates” by Sav R. Miller is a dark romance that truly lives up to its hype. With my Kindle on the verge of catching fire due to the sizzling chemistry between Elena and Kal, I found myself engrossed in this gripping tale from start to finish.

Independent authors are now leading the pack with Sourcebooks, making it easier for them to reach readers. That’s why I couldn’t wait to read “Promises and Pomegranates” penned by Sav R. Miller.

The Monsters & Muses series is one I’ve heard about for the longest and have been wanting to read so this was a match made in heaven. Plus it’s loosely based on Hades & Peresphones which is something I’ll always check out.

As a passionate gamer, I simply couldn’t resist the buzz surrounding this highly anticipated romance series. To make things even more enticing, Sav R. Miller is good pals with Emily McIntire – an author whose books I’ve always enjoyed. Given my previous experiences with her work, I had high expectations for this title, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

With that being said, I’d like to thank Sourcebooks Casablanca for putting this one on my radar.

Promises and Pomegranates is a delicious dark romance.

Initially, let me clarify that if dark romance isn’t your cup of tea, then “Promises and Pomegranates” might not be the right book for you. For a comprehensive list of content warnings, please visit the author’s website. However, I thought it would be helpful to highlight a few potential triggers. Within this novel, there are scenes involving murder, grooming, torture, and violence. If these topics don’t disturb you, then I encourage you to continue reading.

The narrative centers around Elena, the daughter of a crime lord, who’s intended to marry as a means of benefiting her kin. However, her wedding is disrupted by Kal, turning it into an unwanted union for Elena. Not only does she find Kal distasteful, but she also loses her virginity to him during these unexpected events.

It swiftly becomes apparent that this marriage must succeed for the benefit of both Elena and Kal, but that doesn’t imply they’ll passively accept the situation. In fact, Elena is making efforts to understand her spouse better, while Kal is keeping his distance due to his genuine attraction towards her.

Without a doubt, Sav R. Miller skillfully portrays the mouthwatering tension and spark between these characters, igniting an almost palpable passion on your e-reader. Watching them gradually discover one another and fall in love is nothing short of enchanting. However, it’s important to note that this novel doesn’t shy away from its share of harrowing and intense scenes as well.

Elena is grappling with personal family matters and contemplating her future plans after leaving school, while Kal is attempting to distance himself from the underworld and potentially return to his medical career. An unexpected plot twist involves Elena’s mother working to keep them separated. Frankly, you won’t believe this twist!

Even so, Sav R. Miller made this book so compulsively readable that I ended up reading Promises and Pomegranates in one sitting. It was exactly the romance I needed when I picked it up and I can’t remember the last romance I’ve devoured like this one. If you’re looking for a fun and fast read, then you need to pick up Promises and Pomegranates.

Promises and Pomegranates by Sav R. Miller is out now where books are sold.
