The unrelenting thirst for vengeance that has driven this character throughout the books will finally be quenched in Season 7B.

At the closing moments of Outlander Season 7A, we managed to connect with Arch. There, he encountered Rachel and observed her taking care of Rollo since Ian was absent. This single scene gave Arch a clear indication that Ian had discovered someone he deeply cared for.

Arch focuses on revenge throughout Outlander Book 7
In the seventh book, Young Ian joins Jamie and Claire on their journey to Scotland, but his stay is brief. The visuals suggest that Young Ian and Claire will return to America in the tenth episode of ‘Outlander’ Season 7.
Indeed, Young Ian manages to return, which gives Arch an opportunity to concentrate on seeking revenge. For much of the seventh book, Arch seems distant, but Rachel intuits that he’s not entirely trustworthy, despite her lack of familiarity with him. I eagerly anticipate witnessing more about this mystery figure as a potential threat in Outlander Season 7B to fully understand his nature.
Arch is sure to die in Outlander Season 7B
In the novel, Arch ultimately reaches Rachel. He endangers her life, causing Young Ian to find himself in a tough spot. He feels compelled to defend Rachel using force, yet he’s vowed never to act violently. So, what course of action does he take instead?
It’s William in to save the day. This is actually something I forgot to include in William’s post about what to expect in the new season, although I did break down this moment when I noticed William was holding a pistol in a barn at someone. This someone is likely Arch Bug.
William harbors a fondness for Rachel. While it’s unclear if his feelings are as deep as Young Ian’s, he definitely likes her. He is willing to go to great lengths to safeguard her, even taking the life of Arch Bug. I anticipate that the Arch plotline will be resolved swiftly in the early episodes of Outlander Season 7B.
