Sophie Baek gets a Cinderella story in Bridgerton Season 4

In simpler terms, the book titled “An Offer from a Gentleman” is essentially a modern reinterpretation of the classic tale we know as “Cinderella“. Here, we encounter a young woman whose father has passed away, living under the tyranny of an unkind stepmother. Needless to say, her stepsisters are also part of this unpleasant picture.

Sophie is actually Cinderella; she’s the daughter born out of wedlock to the late Earl of Penwood. After her mother’s passing, she is obliged to work for her wicked stepmother, none other than Araminta Gun, who will be portrayed by Katie Leung from ‘Harry Potter’.

After having been married twice with both husbands passing away, Araminta finds herself seeking a fresh position within society. She is utilizing her daughters as a means to achieve this goal. Now, it’s off to the dance, where she hopes to find suitable matches for at least one of her beloved daughters.

It’s clear that Rosamund, their eldest daughter, has taken an interest in Benedict Bridgerton, the brother who seems uninterested in settling down. However, everything changes when he encounters a mysterious lady at the ball, whom he later learns is known as Lady Silver. It takes some time for Benedict to realize the identity of this enchanting woman.

Araminta refuses to let anyone obstruct her path towards achieving a respectable position in society.
