What happens in the Daddy’s Head trailer?
The trailer for “Daddy’s Head” presents a young boy who’s lost his dad not long ago. Strangely, he starts perceiving indications that his father’s essence may persist in some form, as he gets tormented by an ominous spirit instead.
Following the sudden demise of his father, a young lad finds himself alone in a vast rural manor with his newly mourning stepmother. Finding it challenging to cope with the responsibilities of parenthood, his stepmother gradually withdraws, potentially threatening their tenuous relationship. As the tension escalates, the boy starts hearing unsettling noises reverberating through the hallways, and soon finds himself tormented by a grotesque being that eerily resembles his deceased father. As the boy’s alarms are brushed off as the ramblings of a grief-stricken child, the malevolent force tightens its grip on their deteriorating existence.
In this film, Charles Aitken and Nathaniel Martello-White appear alongside Brown and Turnbull in the cast. The production roles are handled by Matthew James Wilkinson and Patrick Tolan.
In other words, after his directorial debut with Double Date in 2017, Tim Barfoot is now directing and writing a second feature film titled Daddy’s Head. Notably, he also handled the editing and composed the music for this movie.
The premiere of “Daddy’s Head” is set for Fantastic Fest on Sunday, the 22nd of September. From the 11th of October 2024, you can stream it online on Shudder.
