What Did Melania Trump Say About Her Nude Modeling on X (Twitter)?

As someone who has spent many years observing public figures and their strategies, I must admit that Melania Trump‘s decision to address her nude modeling past at this point in time is quite intriguing. Given her extensive experience in the limelight, one might expect her to choose a more pressing or politically relevant topic for her comeback.

In a recent post on social media, Melania Trump released a video to discuss her latest book and address criticisms about her past modeling work that included nude photographs. She seems to believe that these images from more than two decades ago are being unfairly targeted by the press, prompting her to defend her actions at that time.

Melania Trump defends her nude modeling on X (Twitter)

Melania Trump posed nude on two separate instances: first, for a French magazine in 1995, which is now defunct; second, for British GQ in the year 2000. These events took place prior to her marriage with Donald Trump and well before his presidency.

In the video on X, Melania stated:

What makes me confident about my nude modeling work is a question that seems more relevant: Why is the media focusing on examining my representation of the human form in a fashion shoot? Is it no longer acceptable to admire the natural beauty of the human body? For centuries, great artists have admired and depicted the human form, stirring deep emotions and awe. Let’s respect our bodies and uphold the enduring tradition of using art as a potent tool for self-expression.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Melania Trump encountered criticism over her nude modeling photos that were published by The New York Post. Yet, this matter did not play a substantial role in the 2020 elections, and there’s no indication that it became a point of discussion in 2024 either.

Let’s make this clear: We aren’t criticizing the former First Lady for her modeling career in any way. Instead, it seems unusual that this specific subject is the one she decided to discuss at present.
