The ESRB website has just released a rating for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, classifying it as suitable for teens. Interestingly, there hadn’t been any formal announcement about this project until now. While whispers of a potential remaster and an online game set within the Horizon universe circulated in December 2022 involving Guerrilla Games and PlayStation, this is the most concrete evidence we’ve received thus far.
It’s expected that there will be varied reactions to PlayStation potentially remastering another relatively new game like Horizon Zero Dawn, which came out in 2017 for the PS4 but was also ported to PC and updated for the PS5’s hardware. However, it’s worth noting that similar actions were taken by PlayStation with The Last of Us Part 1 in 2022, which was released in 2013. Although remastering games from recent years might seem puzzling, it could mean that Horizon Zero Dawn will receive a significant update, giving it a new, vibrant look.
