As a seasoned Star Wars fan who’s witnessed the rise and fall of countless Jedi, the news that Respawn is working on the “final chapter” of Cal’s Saga has sent a shockwave through my Force-sensitive soul. The success of their previous games about Cal has been nothing short of legendary, raking in an impressive $5 billion, which is more than even the Empire’s Death Star budget!
At EA’s “Investor Day” in 2024, Laura Miele, EA’s president, revealed that Respawn is developing the last installment of Cal’s storyline.
May The Force Be With Respawn
During her talk, Laura Miele disclosed that Respawn’s games centered on Cal Kestis and his adventure were among the top-selling Star Wars video games.
“We have delivered some of the highest quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all-time, with over $5 billion in net bookings”
After bragging about their financial success, she mentioned in one short sentence:
Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players.
On the other hand, no specific release date or possible title were mentioned. It seems we’ll have to wait quite some time.
Besides that, we’re curious about who might take over as director following Stig Asmussen’s departure from Respawn in 2023, as he was behind Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor. However, the new appointment hasn’t been announced yet.
Hopefully more info about the next Jedi game will be released soon.
