It's a wrap! Ginny & Georgia season 3 wraps filming ahead of 2025 release

As a long-time fan of Ginny & Georgia, the news that production for season 3 has finally wrapped feels like a dream come true! I’ve been eagerly waiting for this moment ever since the cliffhanger ending of season 2 left me on the edge of my seat. The anticipation has been building up for over a year now, and it’s finally time to see how Georgia’s story unfolds after her arrest for murder!

Just as expected, the cast and team have finally completed filming for the eagerly awaited third season of Ginny & Georgia. As per Deadline, filming officially concluded on Sept. 13. One of the stars from the popular teen series, Sara Waisglass (Maxine “Max” Baker), recently shared her enthusiasm about production wrapping via Instagram.

Unsurprisingly, production for the show wrapped up in March this year. As early as February 2024, there were whispers that filming for the third season would commence on April 29, 2024 and continue till September. Indeed, production kicked off on the specified date, with Netflix releasing photos of the cast during one of their table reads for the third season.

It appears the rumored wrap date was accurate, as production for the show recently concluded on September 13th. To go along with this news, Deadline revealed the identities of two fresh faces joining the cast for Ginny & Georgia season 3. Ty Doran from Manifest and Noah Lamanna from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Beacon 23 have been added to the cast in recurring roles. Doran will play Wolfe, a classmate of Ginny’s in her poetry class, while Lamanna takes on the role of Tris, a skateboarder and peer tutor who is a close friend of Marcus and Silver.

In addition to the previously revealed actors, Brianne Howey as Georgia, Antonia Gentry as Ginny, Felix Mallard as Marcus, Sara Waisglass as Max, Diesel La Torraca as Austin, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen, Scott Porter as Paul, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Katie Douglas as Abby, Chelsea Clark as Norah, and Nathan Mitchell as Zion, are also part of the ensemble.

Details about season 3 are being tightly guarded. But, following the jaw-dropping finale of season 2 where Georgia was arrested for murdering Tom Fuller, there’s certainly a lot to explore. Unfortunately, the third season of Ginny & Georgia won’t be airing this year. Instead, it looks like we might get to see it as early as 2025, likely between January and April. Keep an eye out for the official release date, which will be announced when it becomes available.

On September 16th, Sara Waisglass posted an emotional update on her Instagram, indicating that they had completed filming for the third season, and she included several pictures of herself with various castmates in the post.

As a devoted fan, let me share a sentiment echoed in the post: “If it wasn’t already obvious, I adore my colleagues! We’ve wrapped up season three and I’m over the moon! I can’t find the words to express how much I admire this year’s cast and crew without breaching some sort of confidentiality agreement, so for now, let me simply say thank you for making this show extraordinary. You all are simply brilliant, consistently hilarious, and I still can’t believe I get to work with such an amazing team every year. I love you guys!” Check out the post below!
