When Naga Chaitanya talked about changing morse code tattoo of his wedding date with Samantha Ruth Prabhu: 'There's nothing to...'

As a dedicated follower of Telugu cinema, I have always admired the enigmatic charm of Naga Chaitanya Akkineni. His latest revelation about his Morse code tattoo, which symbolizes his wedding day with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, adds another layer to his intriguing persona.

Initially, Naga Chaitanya kept his morse code tattoo hidden on his left hand. But during the publicity for the movie Laal Singh Chaddha, someone asked him to disclose some of his most memorable fan encounters. At last, he decided to reveal the secret about his ink and explained its backstory.

Previously in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he expressed that some enthusiastic followers have replicated the tattoo on his arm without understanding its significance. He strongly advised against anyone getting a similar tattoo, stating, “I’ve come across several fans who have inked my name and mimicked this design (gesturing to his arm). This is not something you would wish for.

Naga Chaitanya explained that his Morse code tattoo symbolizes the date of his wedding to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In other words, he didn’t want his fans to realize the significance behind it.

While discussing his tattoo during a chat following his split with Samantha, the Thandel actor was inquired if he’d ever consider altering it. Naga Chaitanya chuckled and responded, “I haven’t given it much thought up until now. There’s no need for change. It’s perfectly fine.

For those unfamiliar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has a tattoo with the name “Chay” located above her waist and close to her ribcage. In certain photographs, she has showcased this tattoo.

In a past social media Q&A session, Samantha subtly expressed remorse over her Chay tattoo by suggesting that if she could talk to her younger self, she would advise against ever getting a tattoo at all. She emphasized this point strongly by stating “never get tattooed”.

In 2017, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu exchanged vows during a traditional ceremony involving two customs. Yet, following almost four years of wedded bliss, they revealed their decision to part ways in the year 2021 by announcing their divorce.

I’m thrilled to share that I, too, am overjoyed to announce my engagement to the exceptional talent, Sobhita Dhulipala, best known for her role in The Night Manager. We exchanged our promise-filled rings on the 8th of August, surrounded by our cherished family members here in Hyderabad.
