'How long was Animal?': Jr NTR's EPIC response to Sandeep Reddy Vanga when asked about Devara's runtime steals the spotlight

As someone who has been captivated by the magic of cinema for as long as I can remember, watching the camaraderie between filmmakers like Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Koratala Siva during the Devara Part 1 promotions was nothing short of delightful. The playful banter between Jr NTR and Sandeep Reddy Vanga about the runtime of their respective films had me chuckling in amusement, reminding me of the friendly rivalries that often exist among filmmakers.

Film director Sandeep Reddy Vanga appears quite enthusiastic for his friends Jr NTR and Koratala Siva as their movie Devara Part 1 approaches its highly anticipated premiere. Prior to the movie’s launch, the Animal creator shared a lighthearted discussion with the Devara crew which included Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Koratala Siva. During this enjoyable exchange, the RRR actor playfully sparred with Sandeep Reddy Vanga when asked about the running time of his film.

For those who may not know, Sandeep Reddy Vanga inquired about the running time of Devara Part 1 from the Devara team. In response, Koratala Siva teasingly commented on the director of the film “Animal” for asking about their movie’s duration.

Jr NTR playfully questioned director Vanga about the running time of “Animal”, saying, “Sir, is it 3 hours and 15 minutes?” This joke left Vanga in fits of laughter, but he confirmed that the actual runtime was 3 hours and 24 minutes. The exchange between Jr NTR and Vanga amused Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor as well, causing them to break out in laughter too.

In the course of our conversation, Vanga inquired Devara’s team about the concept behind their film. To this, Koratala Siva replied, “This is the most daring project I’ve undertaken; ‘daring’ not in terms of grandeur, but in its concept. Traditionally, fear has been depicted as a negative sentiment in commercial films. However, I believe that there are instances when fear should be valued and respected by everyone.

In his explanation, he stated, “Typically, a hero in an advertisement is portrayed as courage for all, but I wanted him to embody fear instead. People in this realm are not ruled by reason; they respond to fear. Therefore, I chose to make the character represent fear in the movie. Given this context, you can expect such visuals and dialogues. That’s why the film is being conceptualized in this manner. It may have given you a feeling reminiscent of 300 or Lord of the Rings since it presents a unique world.

In other news, the movie “Devara Part 1,” featuring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor along with others, is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 27th.
