Bommarillu re-release: Siddharth and Genelia Deshmukh starrer romantic movie to hit big screens once again on THIS date

As a dedicated follower of the captivating world of cinema, I am thrilled to share my thoughts on the upcoming re-release of the timeless classic, Bommarillu. This 2007 Telugu romantic-comedy, starring the enchanting duo Siddharth and Genelia Deshmukh, holds a special place in my heart. The movie’s poignant portrayal of a strained father-son relationship and the transformative power of love resonated deeply with me, much like the way Siddhu’s life was changed by Haasini.

The movie “Bommarillu,” starring Siddharth and Genelia Deshmukh, is set for a new theater release. This popular Telugu romantic comedy first hit the screens in 2007.

On September 21, 2024, Bhaskar’s first directorial film will premiere in movie theaters. This announcement was made through an official post by Suresh PRO.

In the film “Bommarillu,” we follow the story of a character named Siddharth, or Siddhu for short, who struggles with a strained relationship with his father. The problem arises because his father tends to be overly dominant, giving them more than they ask for and frequently imposing his choices on them. This constant intervention from his father creates tension in the relationship between Siddhu and his father.

Yet, a shift occurs in Siddhu’s life when he encounters Haasini, a spirited and cheerful woman. Immersed in her independence, Siddhu finds himself adopting Haasini’s outlook on life, eventually bringing about changes within himself.

In addition to Siddharth and Genelia as the main characters, this film features a variety of talented actors such as Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sunil, Satya Krishnan, Sudeepa Pinky, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Surekha Vani, Chitram Seenu, and numerous others in crucial roles.

The movie was a critical and commercial hit back in the day and was even remade into several languages including Tamil as Santosh Subramaniam starring Jayam Ravi and Hindi as It’s My Life with Harman Baweja. Both remakes also had Genelia reprise her role from the original.

Regarding Genelia Deshmukh’s upcoming projects, she will collaborate with Aamir Khan in the movie “Sitaare Zameen Par.” This Bollywood production, directed by RS Prasanna, is a sports drama and an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions. The release date for this film has been scheduled for December 25, 2024, which happens to be Christmas that year.

Beyond that, the actress will likely appear in a dual-language film titled Junior, which is both Telugu and Kannada speaking. Meanwhile, Siddharth recently took on the lead role for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, helmed by director S Shankar. Interestingly, he’s slated to return as the same character in the upcoming sequel, Indian 3. Furthermore, his future projects include Miss You and Test.
