As a fan who has been following Rosamund Pike’s career since her breakout role in “Pride and Prejudice”, I am absolutely thrilled to see her taking on yet another challenging role in the upcoming series, Thumblite. Her versatility as an actress is truly astounding, and her ability to seamlessly transition from period dramas like The Wheel of Time to contemporary thrillers is a testament to her talent.
Netflix has given a direct-to-production green light to the upcoming Silicon Valley-based thriller titled, Thumblite. Notable Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike is set to star in this project, while it is written by Scott Z. Burns, renowned for his work on The Bourne Ultimatum and Contagion.
“This show explores the strategies, conflicts, dreams, and fixations of influential figures and their subordinates as they compete to dominate an unparalleled industry.
Who is involved in Thumblite?
Thumblite is being developed, produced, and overseen by Burns, who will also serve as its showrunner. This is his newest TV endeavor following his role as the showrunner for Apple TV+’s 2023 anthology miniseries, Extrapolations. Furthermore, Pike has joined the team as an executive producer, with Scott Galloway, Michael Ellenberg, Greg Jacobs, and Lindsey Springer also taking on that role.
Apart from an upcoming thriller series, Pike is also playing Moiraine Damodred in Amazon Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time, which is set to come back for a third installment. Additionally, she is slated to star in several films, including the thriller Hallow Road alongside Matthew Rhys, the action-adventure In the Grey with Henry Cavill, and the sequel to Now You See Me, titled Now You See Me 3, featuring Jesse Eisenberg.
