Jr NTR’s Devara, his solo release 6 years after RRR, gets censor board certification; THESE four scenes snipped from film

As someone who has been following Jr NTR’s career since his debut days, I can confidently say that the anticipation for Devara has been nothing short of electrifying. The cast, the trailer, and now the censor board certification have all added fuel to the fire. However, it seems like we might miss out on a few crucial scenes due to the board’s decision to trim four sequences, including the infamous shark-riding scene.

The much-awaited movie by Jr NTR, titled “Devara,” is creating a buzz among the audience. Notably, this production features notable industry figures, and the trailer directed by Koratala Siva has left fans in anticipation. As the release date approaches, it’s been announced that “Devara” has received its censor board certification, with four significant scenes from the film being edited out.

According to an official statement released by the producers of the movie Devara, they have received a U/A rating from the censorship board. This rating indicates that the film can be seen by all audiences, but parents are advised to guide children under 12 years old when watching it.

According to Hindustan Times, the report indicates that the film “Devara: Part 1” by popular actor NTR Jr. has received approval and can now be released, earning a U/A certificate from the censor board, causing great enthusiasm among fans.

Well, that’s not all to the matter. The censor board certification came along with a twist of imposing a cut to four different yet crucial scenes of the movie. Out of them, three were rather direct representations of violence, such as a character kicking his wife in the stomach, and another character kicking his mother.

In simpler terms, it’s said that a five-second sequence, which was part of the third scene, was cut out. This sequence depicted a deceased character hanging from a sword and subsequently sliding down it. Additionally, a scene featuring Jr NTR atop a shark has reportedly been removed from the final scenes.

The film’s producers have been advised to include a warning during the relevant scene, stating that the shark depicted is computer-generated imagery (CGI) and not an actual animal. This is done to avoid giving the impression that it encourages any form of cruelty towards real animals.

For those unfamiliar, the movie Devara is set to have a lengthy runtime of 3 hours and 10 minutes, suggesting a truly exceptional cinematic journey for its audience.
