Regarding certain policies, she criticizes Trump for separating migrant families along the southern border, describing it as a “disaster of humanitarian proportions” that Physicians for Human Rights declared could be considered torture. As for his events throughout America, she labels them as “shows of hatred.
Beyond that, Ronstadt flips Trump’s remarks regarding Mexicans. Instead, she expresses concern not about “rapists entering from Mexico,” but rather about preventing a “rapist” from occupying the White House.
The singer made sure not to ignore J.D. Vance’s remarks. In response to his critical comments about “childless cat ladies” in 2021, which Taylor Swift also found offensive, she spoke up. Ronstadt reminded him that she had adopted two children and lived with a cat before endorsing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
